"DR. JEKYLL &
HEIDI"
Part Three |
(DR.JEKYLL WRITING IN
HER JOURNAL) |
In terms of my personal popularity, my
lecture |
was a huge success. But as a scientist I |
apprehended great danger. I rushed back to |
my lab that night, only to have my worst
fears |
vindicated. |
(DISSOLVE TO: LAB AT NIGHT. DRS HARRIS
AND SINGH ARE SEARCHING THROUGH HER FILES WHEN
DR. JEKYLL WALKS IN) |
Doctors, what are you doing? |
Uh, nothing. We were just . . . |
. . . in the neighborhood. |
You were trying to steal my formula. |
We just wanted to borrow it. |
Get out of here. Out! Out! |
(SHE DRIVES THEM OUT OF THE LAB. SHE LOOKS
AROUND, DISTRAUGHT. DR. SINGH STICKS HIS HEAD
BACK IN THE DOOR) |
If you see Heidi, tell her I said
"Howdy." |
(HE QUICKLY CLOSES THE DOOR AS DR. JEKYLL
HURLS A GLASS BEEKER AT HIS HEAD. IT SHATTERS
AGAINS THE WALL) (DISSOLVE TO: DR.
JEKYLL WRITING IN HER JOURNAL)
When I was sure they were gone I poured |
the rest of the formula down the drain and |
destroyed all my notes. One hesitates to |
imagine what could happen were it to fall
into |
the wrong hands, but for now at least, the |
genie is back in the bottle. |
(SHE LAYS DOWN HER PEN, SPRAYS THE JOURNAL
WITH CHARCOAL LIGHTER AND SETS IT ON FIRE) (MUSIC
UP)
(MATTE: THE END)
FADE OUT.
